Kensuke Okabayashi is a professional freelance illustrator and indie comic book artist whose clients include Magic: The Gathering, LEGO, WWE, Marvel Entertainment, and Disney Marvel. His publications include Manga for Dummies (First and Second Editions), Figure Drawing for Dummies, and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: Manga Edition. His upcoming book, Writing Graphic Novels for Dummies, is scheduled for release in December 2025.

Kensuke received his formal training at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he earned his BFA in Illustration. With professional experience in both traditional and digital media, his portfolio showcases a distinctive range of production artwork alongside personal projects.

Kensuke recently moved to Lancaster from Brooklyn, where he now lives with his wife, two children, and their dog, Maverick. When he’s not storyboarding, he’s hard at work on The Foreigner, a Kickstarter-funded graphic novel exploring its characters’ origins and playing Beethoven on the piano.
